Ab Machines Make Yoru Pocket Smaller Than Your Waistline

By Jason King

Millions of hard earned dollars are spent on gimmick ab machines every month by people expecting to get a six pack stomach in return for some easy exercises. These companies are making a fortune selling machines that don't even do the job they are intended for.

The infomercials that you see on all the shopping channels have models with toned stomachs using the apparatus to illustrate the outcome you should obtain. The trouble is, the models had their flat, wash board abs previous to using the apparatus they're using.

You can exercise with every piece of equipment ever created to flatten your abdomen, but if you possess a coating of fat over your stomach then you'll never have a washboard set of abs. There's a lot more to getting a six pack stomach than exercising with a useless piece of equipment to tone muscles that you already possess.

These companies lead you to believe that you don't already have muscles on your stomach, when actually, everyone does. All you need to do is drop the fat on your abdomen and then your toned abdomen will be exposed. Doing 20 minutes a day on their equipment won't expose your abs any more than they are now.

Washboard abs require you to increase your metabolism so your body burns the excess fat you're carrying. Stomach exercises are just a tiny part of actually getting a flat stomach. The priority is burning fat so your muscles can be seen. A thousand crunches every day won't get you a six pack if you're in possession of a layer of fat on your belly.

To lose fat you must use whole body workouts so you raise your metabolism to the position where it burns fat for 48 hours after your workout has finished. This is done by exercising as many muscles as possible in a short amount of time. Just exercising your abs on a new machine you've purchased will not get rid of the fat on your stomach. It will tone your muscles slightly, but the fat that covers them will prevent you seeing them any more than before you started using your new equipment.

You only need to do 3 powerful workouts a week of 45 minutes to entirely change your body into something you've forever dreamed of. Your metabolism is the secret to achieving a washboard stomach, and not some piece of equipment that has been demonstrated by a fitness model who has previously rocket fueled their own metabolic rate before they ever got on that ab machine.
